Brittany Welch

Get Your Daily Dose of Sports with Main Event Volleyball

Brittany Welch is a former NCAA Division I outside hitter who played at Oakland University. Over four seasons—including a shortened 2021 spring season due to COVID-19—she appeared in over 85 matches and recorded over 700 career kills and more than 400 digs. She was named First Team All-Conference in 2021 and earned Horizon League Freshman of the Year in 2019, the same year she was nominated for Horizon League Play of the Year. A consistent and dynamic contributor, she ranked among team leaders in kills, points, and digs throughout her career and notched eight double-digit kill performances in her final season.

Before her collegiate career, she was a four-year varsity standout at Resurrection College Prep in Illinois. A four-time all-conference selection and team MVP, she helped lead her high school to a state runner-up finish in 2017. She wrapped up her prep career with 1,183 kills, 755 digs, 103 aces, and 138 blocks, and was selected for the Illinois High School All-Star Team.

She began her coaching career as an assistant for both the men’s and women’s volleyball teams at North Park University before being named Head Coach of the North Park University Men’s Volleyball team in 2024, a position she holds presently. In addition to her coaching career, Brittany is certified in Group Fitness, Personal Training, and Strength and Conditioning.
